Binary options are one of the best ways to make money as a day trader, offering returns of up to 80% on one minute option contracts. Just like more traditional forms of trading however, a trader is only going to make money in the long run if they have a good strategy and stick to it at all times. With that in mind, here are the top binary option trading tips from How We Trade.

Eventually I realized that during that down time, I didn’t actually have to be inactive financially. I started looking at alternative means of supplementing my income. I didn’t want a new career, I love my job, I just wanted something that could add a bit more to the bank account when things were looking a little dry. Thanks to the Internet I heard about binary options trading. One of the things that immediately jumped out at me that I liked a lot was the control you had, and that you could start trading with comparatively small amounts. A few hundred? I had enough in my savings that investing with that was okay. I couldn’t start trading with tens of thousands of dollars, but fortunately I didn’t need to.
I decided that, at first, I wanted to just start out with stocks. The Forex stuff seemed interesting to me, but I wanted to get more confident with something familiar before venturing straight into something so new and unknown. Stocks, at least, I understood. I had experience with companies, and I followed some of the technology stuff in the industry, so I wasn’t going into binary options for stocks completely cold. I actually knew what different companies did, and some of the executives and their significance to their particular company and the industry in general.
Now, I’m actually in a pretty comfortable place financially. I didn’t bet the farm on binary options trading, and I have no intention of ever doing that. But making money on the side, especially during quiet months? That’s happening. And it’s not sucking up huge amounts of my time to do it.
Fortunately, one of the nice things about 365 Binary Options when I looked into them was that they had a lot of training stuff for people. I’m not afraid to study up on something I don’t know, so between looking things up on my own and getting a bit of guidance from the 365’s training materials, I actually got a pretty decent outline of what I wanted to learn and how I wanted to apply it.
Business wasn’t really something that was ever on my personal radar. I wasn’t interested in owning or operating a business. I didn’t want to be a boss or a manager because I’d had too many bad experiences with people in charge who didn’t know what they were doing or, worse yet, knew exactly what they were doing and didn’t care how ineffective or unprofessional it was, and these kinds of experiences left a bad taste in my mouth. It’s one of the reasons why I became a freelancer; you work your own hours, you’re your own boss and no one else’s, and you don’t have to go into any office, except the one that you make for yourself on your own terms, in your own space.
That’s pretty much exactly the way I like it, and for the most part, freelancing does what I want it to do. I get my own clients, and I can pick and choose which jobs I want to do, so I never feel like I’m being pushed into work I don’t agree with or feel uncomfortable with. That kind of control is a great feeling, and I wouldn’t give it up for the world. But for every pro, there’s a con, and one of the things about freelancing that can really hurt sometimes is the irregularity of the income. You only make as much money as you can earn through client jobs, and sometimes things would be insanely busy for eight months, then just as suddenly three months with not a single job. I just accepted that as part of the deal.

Options Theta is very important for traders who are entering into a Theta-based neutral strategy. An example of such a strategy is the well-known calendar call spread, where the trader attempts to benefit from the decay of the options’ extrinsic value.
An option with a Theta of 0.015 will, if everything else remains the same, be worth $0.015 less tomorrow than today. And the day after it will be worth another $0.015 less. Someone buying an option with a value of $1 will therefore find that the next day the value would have dropped to $0.985 and the day after that it will be worth only $0.97.
An options trader who is speculating on a relatively small short term move in the price of the underlying asset must ensure that he or she buys options with a Theta rate which is as low as possible so time decay does not completely cancel out the small profits that can be expected from such a trade.
There’s an important point to take into consideration here: Long stock options have negative Theta values and short stock options have positive Theta values. That simply means that the value of long options decreases over time, while the value of short options positions increases over time. This is why Theta is often described as an option buyer’s enemy and an option seller’s friend.
It is also important to note that Theta is different for the various ‘Moneyness’ states of an option. At the Money options have the highest Theta rate, but this declines fairly sharply for Deep in the Money options and Out of the Money options. The reason for this is that far ITM options and far OTM options do not have a lot of extrinsic value, so there is little left to decay.
Another important factor to keep in mind is that Theta is not constant. The Theta at which one buys or sells an option will most likely not be the same the next day. This is because time decay does not happen in a straight line: Time value decay fairly slowly when there is a lot of time to expiration and it decays faster during the last 30 days before expiration. That is why many options buyers prefer longer term options and options sellers often prefer shorter term options.
On the other hand, Options Theta is not of that much concern for a trader entering into a directional options trade such as the popular bull call spread, where the trader usually plans to hold the position until the expiration date.

Though Ponzi schemes have existed since at least the early 1900s, the rise of digital payment systems has made it much easier for operators of such websites to accept payments from people worldwide. 3 Electronic money systems are generally accepted by HYIP operators because they are more accessible to operators than traditional merchant accounts. Some HYIP operators opened their own digital currency companies that eventually folded; these companies include Standard Reserve, OSGold, INTGold, EvoCash, and V-Money. StormPay started in the same way in 2002, but it remained in business even after the HYIP that it was created to serve was shut down by the State of Tennessee. 4
Other HYIPs that have been shut down due to legal action include Ginsystem Inc. in Singapore, 19 City Limouzine in India, 20 21 EMGOLDEX or Emirates Gold Exchange, and WorldWide Solutionz in South Africa 22 23
Some investors try to make money by attempting to invest in HYIPs at an early enough stage to create a return, and then by cashing out before the scheme collapses to profit at the expense of the later entrants. This is in itself a gamble as poor timing may result in a total loss of all money invested. To reduce this risk some of these investors use "tracker sites" listing the schemes and their current state. One expert states that there is not enough evidence to corroborate that tracker sites can actually help investors make more money. 6

“My advice is look at that information, what forms are required and follow the timeline the PBGC has in place because if (plan sponsors) miss some of those pieces or some of those timelines, they might have to start the process over,” she said.
Do the math. See if plan termination will save your organization money in the long run. As an actuary that handles lots of pension plans, Schapel said that what usually trips up plan sponsors is the immediate financial hit a balance sheet takes when a pension plan is terminated. “When you terminate your plan you have to use the PBGC rates. They decide what interest rates to calculate lump sums,” he said. Plan sponsors also must determine whether they want to offer their participants lump sum payouts or purchase annuities for them.
Build a good team. Finzer recommends that plan sponsors hire a good ERISA attorney, financial advisor and an actuary or accountant to help them decide whether a plan termination is the best option for them. “I think it is important to have those individuals in place. They can bring a unique, much-needed aspect to making sure your plan termination goes smoothly and according to how the plan sponsor would like it to happen,” she said.
Plan ahead. Darlene Finzer, a principal of employee plan audit services at Rea & Associates, says a standard termination takes four to six months, as long as there are no delays. For bigger plans, it could take six to 18 months to process a normal plan termination. Part of that process involves applying to the IRS for a determination ruling. It could take up to a year to receive that approval.
Employers have been killing off defined pension plans for years now.
Nearly 60 percent of companies surveyed early this year said they have either frozen accruals for all participants or closed their defined benefit plans to new entrants. Many more are likely to do the same within the next two years, the survey of senior corporate financial executives by Prudential Financial Inc. and CFO Research Services found.

If you want to make a little spending money from home or earn a full-time salary, now's the time— especially if you have a computer. Just going online opens up a host of opportunities. The trick is knowing which businesses are legitimate. Here are my top picks.
Elance works like an online marketplace, setting up designers and computer programmers with companies that need their services. Companies post jobs and freelancers bid on them, listing their experience, portfolio and the price they will charge for the job. If your bid is chosen, you'll pay Elance a commission of 4 to 6 percent of what you earn.
Sites like Demand Studios and Associated Content hire experienced freelance writers, editors and filmmakers to work on projects for sites like eHow, LiveStrong.com and YouTube. At Demand Studios, assignments pay anywhere from $15 to $100; if you meet tenure and activity requirements, you can be eligible for health insurance plans. At Associated Content there are three ways to earn money: upfront payments for content you write ($2 to $15 per article), assigned articles ($10 to $100 per article) and performance payments ($1.50 for every 1,000 page views of your article if it's posted online).
Many retailers are outsourcing their customer service operations to third-party companies like Alpine Access and Working Solutions, who in turn contract with home-based workers. The reps, who typically work 20 to 40 hours a week, take calls for large and small companies. The hourly rate is about $9, but agents can earn up to $13 with incentives and bonuses or up to $30 for special projects. Some companies offer benefits like health and dental insurance and a matching 401(k) plan. LiveOps is similar, but service reps operate as independent contractors, typically invoicing LiveOps $10 to $15 per hour depending on the type of call and performance. And with LiveOps you can work as many hours as you want. The hiring process is rigorous: Expect a comprehensive written or online application, skills exam, phone interview and background check.

In addition to explaining binary options, including how they differ from other types of options contracts, the alerts caution that:
Trading binary options can be an extremely risky proposition. Unlike other types of options contracts, binary options are all-or-nothing propositions. When a binary option expires, it either makes a pre-specified amount of money, or nothing at all, in which case the investor loses his or her entire investment. Trading binary options is made even riskier by fraudulent schemes, many of which originate outside the United States.
FINRA cautions investors who are considering binary options to be particularly wary of non-U.S. companies that offer binary options trading platforms. These include trading applications with names that often imply an easy path to riches, and demo accounts that allow users to try their hand at binary options trading without risking personal assets. Such accounts can serve as bait to lure investors into sending money to fund a "real" trading account, or open the door to identity theft, by requesting an array of personal information.
Through its recently launched FINRA Securities Helpline for Seniors – HELPS®, FINRA has received a number of calls that suggest that scams involving binary options and their trading platforms abound. Callers report situations in which firms claiming to be binary options trading firms do not deposit investor funds into the investor's account, deny requests to return funds, or require a fee be paid in order to receive a return of their investment assets. In at least one situation, a fraudster posing as a regulatory organization accused the investor of engaging in illegal binary options trading and demanded payment of fine money. FINRA is also aware of instances in which an investor is contacted by a firm claiming to be able to get the investor's money back for an advance fee. The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) have received complaints about similar problems.
